of quaint places to eat & conversations

it was an idea that landed in my dad’s mind – for mom, himself and i to have lunch at Sloan Court . i have memories of heading there to eat with dad when i was young, from after school. the place looked exactly the same. the food’s ok. i had a hamburger steak with a sunnyside egg on the top, no buns, potato wedges on the side, and some carrots and peas, boiled. 

dinner was at Porta Porta with friends. T and G first brought me there years ago – could have been 8 years even! and the place looks the same! the warm, friendly attention was great – but that could surely be due the fact that T and G frequent the joint – they were there when this place officially opened in 1992! the conversations were light and it was great to catch up and share and stuff. i really enjoy that. i think this place is a great date place to go –  a little pricey! but a nice quaint, quiet place to sit and talk.
