not ready

tonight i was to meet M for bible study, but hadn’t prepared for it. (i was hoping to squeeze in time in the day to get it done, but there seemed to have been more work then i anticipated!)
i really don’t like not being ready.
i feel like i’ve wasted someone’s time, and i really don’t like that feeling.
my instant response to this is what i sometimes call my ‘Boxer Mantra’ (from Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’) – “I will work harder!”

(on a side note, the night still turned out quite fun – just hanging out and talking and doing silly things!)
