the genius of JS Bach!
click play to hear a really rough recording of the song. it was recorded live from “the King” – a christmas musical we did in the year 1642!!
vocals – mark john
dark clouds are gathering
shadows are falling
all hope is fading fast
Father
all good is swallowed up
evil has won
how can i live again
Father
You tell me you’ll never leave me
where are you now?
don’t leave me here in darkness
show me a sign
Father,
i feel alone
I need you here now
i can’t see your hand
Father
Father,
i need You’re Words
would You come hold me
i can’t hear You’re voice
Father
Father
it’s amazing sometimes how some things that go around, comes around.
and i was ministered.
thank you God for letting me hear this first.
terence and i were one of the first to be there.
then we found aunty lisa. (or rather, aunty lisa found us). it was neat catching up with her and such!
tonight was inch’s first solo performance as such, and i thought she did a great job. she is after all, a seasoned performer! but tonight she show-cased her songs – and with it a little glimpse into her life – from ricky her dog, to matt’s NS journey, to her water baptism . there were many moments when a piece would tease towards the serious and then land you in the middle of funland, and you found yourself tapping to the rhythms from her Korg – to which she went on the spell for the uninitiated. (she reminded us that she wasn’t being naughty!!) mid way through mark and her did a rendition of karen carpenter’s ‘top of the world’. that really got the old folks going – ok ok, that got me going!! haha! …erm …. and hanan too!
all in all i was real proud of her for stepping out to do and pursue the dream in her heart! and it was great to see the crowd behind her! as we like to say around our House – you keep on keeping on ya!
(sorry about the pics, but i only had my phone!! )

the new album is here! and i’m loving it already. some great praise songs and a recurrent theme is the theme of looking into eternity to know that we have a hope that is sure and strong!
can’t wait for us to start learning some of these songs and teaching them to our church!
thank you, hillsong church for faithfully serving the larger body of Christ!
wow. a vocal group from slovenia!
one day, we’ll get choir to do this!
