the ark (or driving in torrential rains)

rain on the Benjamin Sheares The ride to work today was slow. Not because there was a jam or an accident or the traffic was bad. It was because it was raining. and i mean raining. visibility was really low. there were short respites as i went under a bridge or two, but by and large the whole trip was like traveling in a storm. wait a minute. it WAS a storm.
yet all the while, i was in my little bug (i drive a VW beetle), the stereo blasting music from Reverb, the air-con (which is quite cold on most days) freezing the space (which, mind you, is what i like – so it was nice!) and i was ok. no. more than ok. comfortable.
and then i thought of the ark.
and the rain.
for forty days and nights.
non-stop.
the world flooded.
but all in the ark were safe.
comfortable even.

and then i realised how important it is for us to stay in the ark, coz there’s a storm going on outside.
